SUMMARY:IUCN Supervision Mission Underway
DESCRIPTION:IUCN Supervision Mission Underway \nThe IUCN Supervision Mission for the GCF Knuckles Project is currently in progress from 24 November to 2 December 2025\, supporting the review of climate resilience initiatives across the Knuckles watershed. \nThe mission team is working closely with the Ministry of Irrigation\, CIFOR-ICRAF\, the Project Management Unit (PMU)\, and other implementation partners to assess project progress\, financial and technical performance\, stakeholder engagement\, and field-level outcomes. The visit also includes meetings with beneficiary communities and inspections of active project sites. \nThe review findings will strengthen implementation efficiency and ensure continued alignment with Green Climate Fund (GCF) standards as the project advances in building climate-resilient livelihoods in one of Sri Lanka’s most vital ecosystems.
