- Crop Diversification – Nawanagala Division (Harepark Estate)
Demonstration of landscape rehabilitation through the introduction of diversified cropping possibilities within existing tea plantations.
Key actions demonstrated
- Clearing invasive vegetation and unused undergrowth to prepare land for intercrops
- Improving productivity by creating space for spices, fruit species, fuelwood, and soil enrichment plants
- Introduction of diversified crop species to improve supplementary income.
